Definition for : Warehousing certificate
GLOSSARY LETTER
Document produced by a Party A warehousing physical goods or commodities on behalf of a Party B. A warehousing certificate can be used by Party B in the context of obtaining inventory (secured) financing from a Party C (generally a bank). In that case, the warehousing certificate will often explicitly state that the goods / commodities stored won't be released by Party A without it having first received Party B's written approval.
